Karolos Tsizek

The Visual Arts International Festival VAiF in collaboration with The Cultural Foundation of the National Bank of Greece ΜΙΕΤ, are implementing a research and creative project based on the archive of Karolos Tsizek, in which graphic designers and creative agencies from Thessaloniki participate. The works that will result from the process will be presented at VAiF26 in Thessaloniki.

In this context, a workshop was recently held at Villa Kapantzi, where Simos Saltiel of Red Creative presented the traditional methods of typography of the era and referred to the timeless importance of the work and archive of Karolos Tsizek for contemporary graphic design practice. In addition, the participants got to know the archive through the presentation of historian and archivist Giorgos Koumaridis, who presented the history, structure and organization of the material.
